What is Chandrayaan-3 mission and its historic success?

Chandrayaan-3 Mission:

• Launch & Landing: Launched on 14th July 2023 via LVM3-M4; Vikram Lander achieved historic soft landing on Lunar South Pole on 23rd August 2023 ('National Space Day').
• Payloads: Vikram lander and Pragyan rover carrying ChaSTE, ILSA, APXS, and LIBS instruments to analyze lunar soil and elemental composition.
• Achievement: Made India the 1st country to soft-land near Lunar South Pole and 4th country overall to soft-land on the Moon.
