What is Aditya-L1 Mission?
Aditya-L1 Mission:
- Objective: India's 1st dedicated solar space observatory mission launched by ISRO on 2nd September 2023 via PSLV-C57.
- Orbit Insertion: Placed in a halo orbit around Sun-Earth Lagrangian Point 1 (L1), located ~1.5 million km from Earth.
- Primary Payloads: VELC, SUIT, ASPEX, PAPA, and magnetometers to study Solar Corona, Chromosphere, Coronal Mass Ejections (CMEs), and space weather.
